Rori and Rachel - Engagement photography - Phoenix, AZ

Before I show you the pictures - I have to tell you the story of this couple!  First off, I know Rachel from my hometown area, Thatcher, AZ!  So I was really excited when she said they would like us to do their pictures.  To get a better idea of where to go, we started discussing how they met... and I still cannot believe what she said!  They met on a BLIND DATE!  Wha...?  How many people end up dating and MARRYING someone from a BLIND DATE?  Probably the only one in history!  Well ok, maybe not - but I have never experienced a good one personally - so I think its awesome :)  So we thought it would be fun to build their engagement session around their first date.  They went to Freestone Park, had a picnic/barbeque, fed the ducks, and afterwards went to the the Mesa, AZ Temple to wander around and visit some more.   I have seen so many pictures done at Freestone Park, and I have taken pictures there before - so we went to Encanto Park, in Phoenix instead.  They brought the fun picnic basket (makes me think of Yogi Bear! :) lol ) and we just had fun!  We didn't end up taking any pictures of them feeding ducks... only because I saw a huge pack of ducks attacking some kids while they were feeding them... and I got scared! :)  Then we found a really cool truck while wandering around the Downtown Phoenix area... and lets just say I think we re-created the magic from their first date!  Thank you Rachel and Rori for letting us be part of your history and letting our crazyness!

PS - while we were discussing what kind of photos Rachel likes, she said she likes the pictures that are cropped and only show feet... well I went a little crazy and took lots of those (her shoes just popped! loved them - as you will see at the end of the post (ok I had more... but I didn't want to overwhelm you!)
